2016 9 Stones Artists exhibition: Pelvis at Visual

Pelvis: photograph Aisling Mc Coy.

The 9 Stones Artists exhibition “The Possibilities of Place” is being launched tomorrow – Saturday 9th July at 3.00pm at Visual, Centre of Contemporary Art along with 3 other shows:

  • The Possibilities of Place: The 9 Stones Artists
  • Ex Michina: Frances Hegarty & Andrew Stone
  • At Mirrored River: Enda Bowe
  • Take me to the River: Fergal McCarthy

Our exhibition was reviewed by Cristín Leach Hughes on Arena (RTE Radio 1) last Monday (4th July). It was a very positive review and can be listened to on the link below.

In conjunction with this exhibition we are launching an anniversary publication kindly supported by the Carlow Arts Office. The work of each member is generously presented and a specially commissioned essay by Cliodhna Schaffrey also features.

At 3.30pm there will be a panel discussion with some of the Artists on Carlow: Place, Connectivity and Artmaking

Hope to see you there tomorrow!

  1. Thanks for the invite Martin. For some reason your post came into my ‘All mail’ and not my ‘Inbox’ so I am only seeing it now. Am going into Carlow next week and will call into Visual to see the exhibition. Look forward to seeing your work. Helena
