Mussel Shell: FORM16@Ballymaloe Sculpture Exhibition

I was selected to exhibit at the FORM16@Ballymaloe ‘Silent Expression’ sculpture exhibition. The works are sited in wonderful gardens of Ballymaloe estate. Many thanks to the tireless work of art advocate Richie Scott who has put so much effort to organise the event, and the beautiful catalogue.

Two other 9 Stones Artists were included at the exhibition, Michelle Byrne and Gwen Wilkinson. Other sculptors exhibiting  were: Eileen Macdonagh,  Bojana Krizanec, Stephen Burke, Jason Ellis, Mel French, Richie Healy, Martha Quinn, Michael Quane to name a few.

I exhibited my Mussel Shell and Bladderwrack seaweed (Update: the Bladderwrack is now SOLD). The Mussel shell and bladderwrack were both created in Kilkenny limestone, about 2 foot long and hand-polished.

The Opening was on Tuesday 21st June 2016. It was a lovely evening and it was great to catch up with all the sculptors who came down for the opening. Many stayed for a great meal at Ballymaloe.
