Pear: Schist stone
I carved another pear as a wedding present for friends married at the end of April. The stone was a piece of Green Dalradian Schist from Annagh Head in NW Mayo (almost as far west as you can go). The stalk is Aspen.

A Conference of Pears: Kilkenny limestone
Its been a Pear shaped year!! I did these pears earlier in the year. Now, I am cooking from the Happy Pear cookbook and we ate there the other day. They were shown with the “9 stones artists” for the Carlow Arts Festival (May 2015).

Plum: Kilkenny limestone
Created from Kilkenny Limestone, wood stalk. Roughly 15cm long. A shape I love to work. I can make these to order although each one is unique and hand-polished.
