Granite Symposium – Sliabh Gearr

I have been very bad about updating my blog during the summer. Better to be outside than in on the computer!! I will update it in the next week or so.  For now,  jut to let you know I was on a Granite Symposium in Killane Co. Wexford in Niall Deacon’s Yard from the 29th August to 13 September 2009.  Had a great time and produced “Excavations” shown below.

Is granite more or less difficult ot work becuase of it’s course grain size?

Looks lovely, how do you produce such a smooth mark free upper surface? Some kind of belt sander of somthing?
